We are so happy with each other & delighted to help one another. I think we may have a life-long honeymoon. She was anxious & praying earnestly for $200 to move all our property to a Rwandan city very near Justus in Uganda, because our Moslem, bi-sexual, landlord is unreasonable & wanted her to pay to paint the house while he tries to seduce & give AIDS to our current 16 yr old house-girl. The next day, I think, I earned enough from a service call & $200 collections to pay my $196 cell phone bill & send $200 to her. She picked it up at 9am (3am EST) & moved the same day to a nice house with a good landlord that is only 1.5 hrs from Goma, Congo where we work & have most of our relatives & she is only 20 minutes from Justus & her Spiritual mother in Kisoro, Uganda. The next day I had enough to send enough for David Saku’s Visa fees & a ministry trip he plans with the Jesus video & projector I sent him. My wife has sold 1 or 2 of the 12 cameras we got just before I left, giving her money for living expenses & some furniture for the new house. She told me Uncle Simon is becoming a real Christian & he happily told me he had given up beer when I talked to them both today. She is starting a house church work in Ruhengeri starting at our house. The 50 year old guy we ate dinner with the night before I left, helped her move & is being faithful to his promise, “Your wife will be safe with us.”

US News

I had 3 50 yr old friends over to eat my good cooking Friday & just got a response from Steve to come again 2 wks later for more fellowship. Larry’s wife Lisa took 3 more pairs of my old pants to sew for me & they enjoyed the results of the refrigerator, freezer & kitchen they cleaned for me, back when no one was living here last year for lack of $ for electricity & gas & a coon was throwing all the pantry food on the floor.

Business

All our businesses are gradually improving, except in Burundi & we’re making slow progress in our home remodeling & cleaning here & have a big improvement in Rwanda, so our current bills are paid in both countries & a good step toward finishing the water damaged (in 05) 5^th bedroom so I can be ready for more company & future kids & guests here in the USA. I sold my first furnace & will finish today or tomorrow.

A Good Bride for Someone!

My wife’s cousin Anifa is a wonderful gal to be with. She speaks a little more English than my wife did when I met her & speaks the most important 3-4 languages that my wife speaks. I’m sure there are exceptions, but I think most men would be happier with her than an American or westernized nation wife. She’s a year older than my wife at 24 and has finished the 6 yrs each of primary & secondary school.

What I enjoy so much about her is her laughter. She laughs quite easily. If I break wind, which happens often with the diet high in beans, there are peals of laughter even from the other side of the room. Quite often while I was busy writing a book on my computer she, David, & my wife were laughing so hard they had tears in their eyes & almost fell off their chairs. Her smile is really beautiful when she laughs. We had a wonderful time this 2.5 wks when we were all together. Today (3 weeks ago) she was interpreting the Kinyarwanda songs to David in Swahili, while my wife helped me in English. Of course there are difficulties in every good marriage, but even the non-Christians in Africa usually respect their husbands & work hard for their families putting up with tremendous financial & health problems. That is difficult to find in a western culture where life is very comfortable, most children are spoiled, & most of us grow up watching television that portrays the man of the house as a fool who does whatever his wife wants.

I hope some of you ladies really obey Ephesians 5 teaching & choose to adorn yourself with a meek & quiet spirit which is the beauty that God & a wise man will look for. My wife is a bit feisty & not all that quiet, but that comes with her leadership personality gifts & she does have & show a tremendous respect & submission to me. I never was interested in women who weren’t decisive & bold.

Maybe you know someone who might be interested in meeting Anifa or visiting us to meet her & others who could be great wives or friends. Feel free to forward my emails to others. We found a great $30/night hotel in Rwanda not too far from our home & you can find decent $10/night hotels or sleep in our home. Come & enjoy the work of God & the beautiful people here with us! All you need is a US passport for Rwanda.
