The photos & videos were sent before, but these are about the orphans which I share about above the letter in black.

My personality is to be comfortable on the edge. You will find me there even shortly after I just fell off & survived. I am a little more careful about some things, like money & paying bills & carrying or taking malaria medicine, & I do wear a seat-belt which helped save my life a yr+ ago.

But it’s hard to say I’m crazy, because all the great men of the Bible lived on the edge, making dangerous decisions, & usually decisions that created very dangerous enemies. Of course they tried to avoid danger, but like Paul in the basket & David often had to be rescued with the help of others & often by the intervention of God.

I’m on the edge again. The ministry account is down to about $35 after paying my secretary, because virtually all her work has been duplicating media, labeling, packing, shipping, etc. I cleaned out the business account buying 12 cameras at $60 ea. after I canceled a $744 computer purchase including 3 $80 cameras. But we have customers in at least 3 countries for cameras which support my travel & personal expenses here. The accounts are so low I made three $10 transfers & one $3 transfer last night to make sure I have enough for the check we wrote from my borrowed-from personal account for a bread-maker Ken found on-line for me, because I miss my whole wheat bread here in Rwanda.

But we have been faithful to send $300 for our April Burundi missionary budget & $200 so Bienvenu could feed his family & move to a $70/mo house after his daughter’s medical expenses wiped out his rent money & we just sent $300 for May + $100 for paying 2 guys to translate & print good teaching material for hundreds of new convert/leaders in the provinces of Burundi.

The $300 I brought from our ministry account in cash, which I borrowed for my travel expenses, I will soon pay back by giving money from sales or Mama’s loan for the $300 that was designated for the orphans in Uganda, but that is starting slow while we figure out by email how to make a long-term orphan benefiting investment.

Next we need more donations for $30-$60 shipping Jesus Videos, Audio Bibles, & House2House conference media to Burundi, & the same plus some great books to Samson, & my old friend Joseph, in Nigeria. We can support an orphan for about $30/mo, although with the $15/mo house & our orphanage director the first will cost more.

Here’s a letter about setting up a small orphanage in Uganda:

Hello Greg,

Yesterday, somebody rang me and asked me if it could be possible to get a digital Camera for buying, I told him that to wait one week. (We are starting business hoping to get a new store for just $38/mo.)

However, the lady i told you that she can look after the orphans is ready to do that kind of Job, she came once and told them about the word of God using the bible which you gave me. I had told her about…she accepted that as it also helps her get used to the word of God everyday.

I also do read this bible that you gave me very often, as I had told you that I shall be reading it for my spiritual growth, this bible has helped me. Those whom I gave the bible tracts, I promised them that they will be able to get full bibles next time.

May the good lord bless the work of your ministry.

Best wishes from your friend

Mvuyekure Justus

If you want to support an orphan we are using the cameras from our new Uganda business, to take & email photos to you. You can mail a check to the address below, or click here to donate through the web-site. There’s Media tab, that allows you to see photos & videos at www.newwaveministry.com. We can give you regular reports with photos & info about the orphan(s).

My business pays labor & shipping for all the media for here (Rwanda) & Goma when we ship here. So far my business pays all my travel expenses, but I often borrow by transferring back & forth from different accounts. To make the transactions clear I repay the exact amount that was borrowed. Right now the ministry account is even, but if I don’t get donations soon enough, I’ll borrow from my business or personal accounts as soon as I get the $744 refund or a personal gift, etc to pay the shipping for Burundi & Nigeria.

Progress in Rwanda:

We haven’t tracked down the leaders of all the churches that Emmanuel began, but my wife has a pastor, & an evangelist friend & she actually interpreted my sharing with them about our “New Waves” including church in houses. The Pastor, Innocent, is the one who started a work in a province that now has 200 people meeting in just 2-3 weeks. The evangelist, Jean-Claude, speaks some English, like my wife did when I met her.

They have warned us that we won’t have room in our home to gather them all & I said that’s why we have church in houses. They said, “Good!!” We are having a Seminar of teaching by discussion with my wife’s cousin interpreting tomorrow till our 2:00 lunch. I really am the most fruitful investing in just a few people, so this is a good way to start again in Rwanda.

Despite drastic economic problems in Burundi, worse than the USA, we have a good report of the fruit of our $300/mo Burundi missionary budget below:

Just arrived from up country. Here is the April Report

In Bujumbura, the capital:

April has been a good experience for us in evangelism. As decided during March, every group (women, men, and youth) reached people of their gender . They did evangelism once during April. Here are the numbers (from 2 networks):

1st Network

15 Men were touched and 7 got saved

47 Women were touched and 11 got saved

31 young people were touched 6 got saved

24 new believers to disciple. We’ll know how many are going to continue in the Lord as time goes on because follow-ups are being made.

2nd network

34 Men were touched and 19 got saved

69 Women were touched and 35 got saved

21 Young people were touched 5 got saved

59 new believers to disciple. We’ll know how many are going to continue in the Lord as time goes on because follow ups are being made.

We are praying and working on developing methods of reaching men and young people more effectively since those seem to be resistant.

We need prayer for the following requests:

- Wisdom while developing methods to reach men and young people

- Wisdom while discipling them to reduce losses.

Up country

The new province reached is Muramvya

2 teams of church planters went to 2 communes among its 5 unreached communes to see which one would be more receptive.

In fact, commune Kiganda was more receptive than Bukeye. 92 people got saved out of the 500 reached in commune Kiganda. But only 13 got saved out of the 321 reached in commune Bukeye.

10 local people are being trained extensively to oversee those 2 networks

Joyfully

Bienv

TOTALS:

The capital, Bujumbura 84 New believers from 217 touched.

Up-country 105 New believers from 821 touched.

The new ground is tougher, but after the new believers have shown the good fruit I expect improve results from 13% to more like the 39% near the capital. Also we will improve with experience.

My Wife’s Amazing Testimony:

I had 2 great long videos of her amazing testimony, but I get repeated errors when trying to upload them, so I’ll try to give a short account of what she said.

Her story is really funny & amazing. Like me she was focused and taking action before she really understood salvation. Like my liberal Methodist upbringing, she was surrounded by people who were religious, but usually not converted in the Catholic church.

She liked to visit Pentecostal churches and even go to conferences & seminars & was recognized for her singing. Somehow she decided she wanted to be a pastor. She didn’t like school-work & got in a lot of trouble, but someone told her she needed to take theology to be a pastor, which meant she had to finish the equivalent of high school. So suddenly she started studying and her parents were very happy. But she loved the bible & music, so she stopped bringing her school material & only brought her bible and music scores. I never did my homework either.

When the headmaster discovered this he called her parents & her mother was ready to come to school. They showed her the school bag with a bible only & she was angry, so she took her bible away. She went to a Pentecostal pastor & he gave her a bible which she hid from her parents. She started preaching and singing in houses starting one meeting after another. She even rented a small building for a church about the time she had the dream (when she was 15) that led her to her spiritual mother who led her to Christ. Even after her conversion, her parents gave her money for food and clothes, because they were wealthy and she used it all to rent the church, wearing worn-out clothes and shoes. Her parent’s friends were amazed and one of them bought her shoes, etc.

Someone told her you have to be a priest or a bishop to build the church & her heart was broken. But the pentecostal pastor said, “I’m not a bishop & I have a church!” So she went back to preaching & singing with greater fervor after the women she saw clothing people in white in a dream was found by her in nearby Uganda (because she recognized the city) and led her to understand conversion through the work of Christ. We met Justice in Uganda visiting her spiritual mother, Bishop Jori. After her conversion her Catholic parents were very angry with her & refused to pay her school fees, clothes, or even give her soap. But Bishop Jori, took care of those things so she continued in the same school, staying sometimes with her for a while. Through that she learned the Uganda version of Kinyarwanda & Luganda, so much that they let her in over & over without the $50 Visa thinking she was Ugandan.

When she was about 17 someone prophesied to her mother that if she didn’t support her daughter God would kill her. I think this happened more than once. Then her mother began to have dreams of God killing her. Providence was very afraid when her mother sent the house boy to get her, but her mother bought her a bible and started providing for her again. They even started the church where I met her in her parents home when she was about 17. No wonder she was so ready to start churches in houses when I brought that idea 14 mos. ago. I was leading the fellowship of Christian Athletes and my Methodist youth group at that age.

Until he died, she became her father’s favorite & both parents give her money to dispurse even though she is younger and actually the step-daughter of her father. It’s a good thing they love her so much, since the traditional pastor who took over that church wanted the usually corrupt Goma police to find her and kill her after I met her last year. But they were afraid when she told them her Parlimentarian father’s name. At that age I was leading a discipleship group I started with the disapproval of my traditional church pastor & criticism of my wife. But all the men in that group are strong in the Lord with long marriages, except for me. But I have a long marriage starting now with the miracles of favor with her parents, that none of the other son-in-laws got.

He parents are down from owning about 10 houses, 4 factories, & gov’t income, to one house, one owned by the gov’t in the capital and one gas station in Goma. Her mother doesn’t have enough income, because 3 of her daughters live with her in Goma with their 16 children and some other orphans she has taken in. All the daughters have been separated from their Congolese husbands, because they are mostly catholic, maybe not Christians, and the Congolese turn against the Tutsis from Rwanda. Although she tells Prov, “I don’t have any money” she was given $1,500 that she is loaning to us for wedding expenses that will be repaid when she sells one of the 2 computers I sent her.

My wife said she will make deposits on room & clothing rental with $500, but I can send the rest to the USA to buy more electronics to sell. Then we will use what we sell to pay the rest of our expenses. Some how her mother will pay an equal amount of dowry ceremony expenses the morning of our May 24th evening wedding.

Providence will be trying to collect from sales in Goma, which we need now, for our Burundi trip, since I just spent $80 for another month of internet & bought a lot of Bibles for Congo leaders & her.

I didn’t know most of her testimony until 3 or 4 days ago, because her English was poor & we’ve been separated by USA immigration.

The first video is really funny, as my wife says she has nothing in her head, when she means she has nursing in her head, because she graduated in nursing with the 2nd highest test score in her region of DRCongo.

8 pieces of Wisdom from 39 yrs. with Jesus:

1. Don’t expect your spouse to be reasonable or sensitive consistently.

2. Don’t get married unless you plan to die many times.

3. Don’t expect to be great in heaven unless you die more times that you ever decided to.

4. Don’t usually believe what the “experts” tell you.

5. Look for expert info. anyway.

6. Even if you’re in better condition than most 20 yr old athletes, don’t expect at 50+ to sleep most nights without using the toiletJ

7. Plan on God answering your prayers in the opposite way you would expect.

8. Love is Patient, Patient, Patient, Patient, Patient, Patient, Patient,……

My comments on each of these:

1. Duh!

2. I found that out (the cross in marriage) more than once.

3. In my 40s I thought I’d died quite enough in 30+ yrs, but God didn’t think so.

4. Experts are often wrong.

a. They were wrong about peanuts causing heart disease (frequent consumption reduces heart attacks 50%.

b. Same story with eggs & other high fat items

c. You don’t get thinner with low fat diets. (95% of people are heavier after 1 yr.)

d. More classroom education doesn’t make people more productive. (It’s shown to reduce creativity & many great advances come from drop-outs.)

e. Low sodium diets actually increase mortality, depression, & suicide.

f. Prescription medicine actually leads to 95% of senility symptoms.

5. There are some good experts that don’t believe the other “experts”

6. Well, I’m almost like 20J

7. I thought a poor wife would appreciate me more, which in some ways could be true, but I’m so thankful for the provision & deliverance that have come through my wife’s Parliamentarian Father & wealthy (in Congo) parents & relatives.

8. I still have a very happy marriage, but some days till 2 weeks ago it was only 22 hrs a day. After a couple hours of being sure she wanted to separate she finally listens to the truth, instead of what she was thinking, loved me passionately & tells me funny stories about what her mother told her. But I gained a lot of patience from 30 years of no good marriage for which I’m very thankful.

Here’s some funny (well mostly funny) things my wife told me her parents & even New Wave members said:

1. Her Catholic Mama said, how can I help register New Wave Ministry? I don’t know any scripture to answer questions.”

2. The gov’t said, “Explain house church”. Mama said, “It’s my house” “What happens when you grow?” “We go to another house & another & another.” “It’s the best way of evangelism!!”

3. Mama said to Baba (Dad), “I’ll tell you your faults!” He said, “OK” She thought for a while & said, “You don’t have any.”

4. Providence said, “They love each other so much!!! I don’t know why”

5. Really funny—Mama said to Providence, “Your husband is a good Christian, but you. No-No-No-No!”

6. When the police took my wife into custody, because the pastor wanted them to kill her, they were afraid when they found out her father was in the Parliament.

7. Her parents are Rwandans & Rwanda is opposed by DRCongo, but the President of DRCongo paid 600 people to fly to her father’s funeral, many from other nations.

Hope you enjoyed this.

She doesn’t know it, although she might have some idea, because I told her the story of Boaz & told her I was like Boaz, my wife like Ruth, but she said she wanted to be like my wife’s sister. So that would make her a sister-in-law, but they’re both younger than most of my daughters.

The first photos are mostly Cynthia, then photos & a video of the prayer meeting I taught at after writing this email.

I think this house-girl, Cynthia, is something God arranged and some kind of answer to my prayer. I don’t remember all my prayers, because my life & thoughts are mostly prayer though I hope my impatient thoughts aren’t counted as prayers. But about 1 day before this house girl arrived to replace the one who demanded more pay than her agreed $10/mo. wage. $0 to $20 is typical, because at least they have a place to sleep & eat. Anyway, that 1 day, I thought & probably prayed that I’d like a house assistant who spoke enough English & was trustworthy enough to teach him/her to use the computer & help with business matters.

A friend of my wife’s brought her here. After agreeing to come for just room & board my wife was happily surprised to find out that this girl is a Christian & member of an Assemblies of God, which is my wife’s favorite traditional church in Kigali, & at least 2 places in Uganda. She’s actually already talking to me in English better than my wife, although they both know a number of things the other doesn’t. Like most Africans she is poor for lack of opportunity & often for lack of parents. Her entire nuclear family except her younger sister were killed when she was 3 in the Genocide & most of her other relatives, also. She, her sister & 5 cousins have been living with a poor widow Aunt, who hasn’t really had enough to feed all of them. She started secondary school, but couldn’t afford the book fees, so she’s hoping for some way to continue school.

She’s 17, & 3.5 years younger than my 4rth daughter & still young enough to learn English & things like computers rapidly. My wife will probably find her telling her how to use gadgets like most of us find our children & grand-children doing.

We have some extra Kinyarwanda bibles, her best language, but I don’t know where my wife put them while she is away to Goma. But amazingly, while I was running Sunday I spent some time with 3 young men & the stocky weight-lifter gave me a new Kinyarwanda bible just like the ones we recently bought, because he was a Moslem & didn’t want it.

She is in bed reading the bible right now (10:00p Mon) after we had a good discussion eating the dinner she cooked while I’m in bed typing as usual.

If things continue & my wife agrees, I’d like to adopt her & bring her to the USA with us. I love to teach & always wanted to be a good father to my daughters, but it was mostly impossible with the interference of their demonized mother. So perhaps that prophecy that God would restore all that I lost, will be fulfilled in unexpected ways.

Tomorrow, our two new New Wave-Rwanda leaders are going with me to start registering the ministry, returning here for lunch then going at 3 to for me to teach a group one of them has waiting. Jean-Claude’s brother will interpret, since their English is very limited. It will be good to travel with them & except for buses & common language it will be much like Jesus walking & talking & doing ministry with the Apostles.

This Tues morning I enjoyed early breakfast with the house-girl, Cynthia & shared with her teaching on the Song-of-Solomon &, of course, new English. When I woke up the internet had much improved, so I attached many photos & videos to my “8 pieces of wisdom from 39 yrs..”

After the first trip trying to register the ministry, my partners have gone to town, so I’m about too take a nap to be alert to go again, teach on a 3 hr trip, & spend reuniting time with my lovely wife, who should be home before our scheduled 1:00 lunch.

Thursday 5/9/08 Personal use of excess time.

I’m making the most of my time with little teaching opportunity. After some emails & non-connecting phone calls, I started exercising & listening to the Kidz free audio Bible, click to download, about noon, while my computer was slowly going through the process of buying bargain cameras on-line from www.circuitcity.com which is a great source for notebook computers, too, many $400-$500, but they’re are not available for pick-up near my secretary, though they usually have free shipping, but not all items. & I was attaching photos & saving 1 at a time to this email, while it is downloading my 10-11th free audio bible, the 3rd one in Spanish, & downloading my 2nd free download from www.house2house.com. All the time I keep 2 windows 2 my email open, so I can check emails while I’m attaching etc in the other window. After done with my bedroom calisthenics I took the 4 gallon bucket for my cold African bath outside to get water (the shower never works inside) & did 12 pull-ups under the overhang outside. My wife is busy making arrangements for our May 24th (3rd & I hope last wedding). She just negotiated next to me with a man for a house for 50 guests for 3 days for $100, which I think her mother is paying for. They’ll be sleeping African style in about 5 bedrooms & another room or two. I do get a lot done on my computer, because people are speaking languages I don’t know, so I just type away.

It’s 2:50 here, but 8:50 am EST.

Well, I did it, I quit Lowes! I had been there 1.4 yrs and have had enough of retail, period. Too much micro-management in a new store that is not performing up to expectations. I feel they mis-lead me and wanted me to quit anyway. What should I expect from a numbers machine. Where do I fit in after 30 yrs at GM? I am writing for a local newspaper and earn $25 per article! It gives me exposure and experience. Who knows where this wil take me. My wife is looking for a job as well. The joke is that the first one who gets a job gets the only car we have! I had to borrow $4500 to pay my income tax bill. Meanwhile, I have a couple of building projects to do. I am supposed to be hanging drywall today in a basement. It can wait til early in the morning. I have been looking at my work history. I learn new stuff and then I get bored and want to do something different. It just about killed me working at GM for 30 years. I was always going to school or something. Right now, I just don't care. I want to go to my "shack" and hang out with Jesus like the book, which is awesome!!!

My wife is over her 6 hrs of jealousy on Friday, we fasted & prayed for New Wave Sat & she interceded 4 me as I taught Sunday, resulting in an anointing that caused the pastor’s friend to quickly gather 15 churches with hundreds of members to come for a seminar I teach W-Fr. Today she has traveled to a place to get a certificate of single-hood, so we can get a civil marriage & I can eventually get dual US/Rwandan citizen-ship. Our new 17 yr old daughter, Cynthia went quickly to both her Aunt & former step-father getting promises that they would not stop our adoption. She’s very happy that she decided to work hard with no pay, because she said she knew God would make her rich. We have a 2nd 16 yr old & very poor (she has 4rth grade education) house-girl that you will see washing the patio in the 33 sec video along with photos of Cynthia & our New Wave Rwanda team who came today to make plans to register the ministry & didn’t have to counsel my formerly jealous wife like they did last Fri.

AMAZING PROPHECIES

I’m amazed by the quantity of prophecies given to my wife, by preachers, family members, & even strangers who meet her on the street. After our longest & most extreme conflict yesterday (I even locked her out of the bedroom, because she continued to repeat the deception she was in (giving me no rest) she asked forgiveness & went to visit her sister & brother-in-law who are Pentecostal leaders. He prophesied to her for an hour so many things that she couldn’t remember them all. I share the good, bad, & the ugly, because I think leaders should be examples of humble admission of problems & a testimony that God uses even the most difficult things for our good. All you married people know that marriage isn’t always a bed of roses & we learn by making a lot of mistakes.

She was so falsely convinced that I had a romance with my Nigerian friend, who sometimes calls repeatedly, because of poor connections or finished phone credit, that my wife told me to take her name off our ministry registration, because I wasn’t a serious christian, to tell my friends the wedding was cancelled & she would not take the next steps for our civil wedding. It took about 6 hrs & an experienced pastor friend to get that all straightened out. Since then she talked very friendly with my 22 yr old Nigerian friend when she called.

After a little passionate reconciliation, during which I quoted my wise father, “Did you learn anything?” she, with reluctance, went away to keep her plans to visit her sister & brother-in-law before our wedding. These are some of the things he prophesied to her without knowing what she had just been through:

1. The devil has stood up against your marriage because he hates it! The time of God’s blessing is coming to you! God will not forget all you have done, starting at 8 yrs old, & your courage to work for Him, so he wants to give you great happiness.

2. Don’t be afraid about your husband, because what God has given he won’t take away.

3. Some, even family members, are trying to curse you and your husband, even by shaking your hand.

4. You will be a good example to other women, with wisdom & patience to work.

5. Don’t go to travel or work in ministry, without your husband praying for you.

6. God is still choosing leaders in Goma for the ministry. (Gabriel has been unfaithful with money & promises, but we have several more mature leaders)

7. You will be very poor for a short time after your wedding, but God wants you to have faith & patience. I told her during our conflict over & over that it takes faith & patience to inherit the promises.

8. You will have what you need for the wedding. Although we are lacking about $970 in planned expenses.

9. Don’t ask questions in your heart about Greg’s divorce, because it was God’s plan! I’ve never heard that before, though I felt the window of opportunity for repentance & restoration with my 1st wife had been closed by God.

10. Another leader previously said, “Satan has asked God for your life, like Job, but when you see problems, remember it is from Satan & ask God to give you patience & endurance.”

11. Before you open wedding gifts, your husband must pray over them, because there are enemies sending curses, but the curses will be broken. Such curses are common in Africa.

12. Someone will poison you, but don’t be afraid, because you will not be very ill.

13. When I told her I wanted to have Bible Study/church with Cynthia during her jealous false thinking she refused & said, “You need the Spirit of God, not study.” But her brother-in-law said, “You need to start studying the bible 1 hr/day, because God will use you with many spiritual children if you know His Word!

14. Why have you stopped praying as you did before? She told me she had stopped since I arrived, but before that fasted & prayed 1 day/wk for New Wave Ministry, & 1 day for our relationship so we fasted & prayed together Saturday with great results on Sunday.

15. You have great mercy in you for orphans. Continue. God will bless you. She told me that is because of the help she received for the 3 yrs her own parents refused to give her anything & even told her relatives she had died. Her mercy is for those in need, whether they have parents or not. They said she they said she was the house-girl & sometimes the house-boy shared his food with her. As she says, “God is God!” & I say, “He just chose us.”

16. You will have ministry in many, many nations. I received the same words in late 04 in Burundi before we had started any house churches anywhere in Africa.

After that she said, “People who prophesy to her always point out her mistakes, but they never mention any mistake on my part.” It makes me remember & smile when her father asked her mother to tell him his mistakes & she said, “OK!” Then after a long pause, she said, “There aren’t any!” I’m sure I’m not perfect, but both of us were much older than our spouses (so we’ve already learned from previous mistakes) & so far there is nothing she has been angry about that has been true. I’ve been criticized severely in 5 countries, including by many people in the US who should know me well, but so far I haven’t heard anything that was even close to the truth except things I already repented of & was restored years before by the church I was with. When she was convinced I was lying about Debra yesterday, the last time I remembered telling a blatant lie, to anyone, was to my boss 25 yrs ago for which I confessed the same day to him.

MORE PAST PROPHECIES AND REVELATORY ENCOURAGEMENT

1. Her spiritual mother saw so much ministry in her that she adopted her & paid her school fees & supports her now & when she continued starting churches in houses at 15 after beginning at 13, even though this is not done in her sp. mother’s traditional churches for which she is called Bishop.

2. The man who said, “You will get your Visa, but first your husband will come to you.” Before we I was committed to marriage to her.

3. I heard my first personal prophecy, not knowing what it was, 30 yrs ago saying, “You are a mighty warrior!” If you haven’t accepted the gift of prophecy in this time, it doesn’t mean it isn’t true!

4. The next prophecy I remember was in 1990 & fulfilled in 96 when a man saw in a vision me bring food to poor people, which happened when I “accidently” started a house church in gov’t house project apartment. Little did I know that was a first fruits” of my future.

5. Then there were these visions from MorningStar

a. 95 You are a long distance runner. You are in this for the long-haul.

b. 97? You are a tornado with destructive power, but good comes out it.

c. Same meeting, “You cannot be stopped, you cannot be stopped, you cannot be stopped.”

d. 05 “You are a mountain climber. God will tell you to do things that men say are impossible, but you will do them.”

e. 05? There is a great open field before you & no obstacles to s
