Unity in both marriage & ministry (which is really Christian service) is something that has been very unusual & the focus of prayer by high-level intercessors for years, & it is the upper or exposed foundation of our ministry because we desire to reveal the passion, humility, & sacrifice of Jesus through our marriage, as a picture of His passion for his bride & his foot-washing service & sacrifice for her. The real foundation is Christ, but our marriage is much of what can be seen

She was truly sick with love for me & did not sleep all night long last night! She said she had no appetite, because she could not stop thinking about me. She has asked me four times, when I was coming back, so she can count the days. I miss her, but God has given me an amazing peace & nothing really upsets me for long any more. I do have a rising determination to use my time wisely with every moment to please my bride-groom & I’m thank-ful to be listening/watching on-demand, $15/mo. web-streaming from www.morningstarministries.com, & even crying while I’m installing a furnace alone in a dark basement. I think Sunday was the most enjoyable furnace installation I’ve done in 20+ yrs.

My friend, Felicity, was right when she said, “I can’t wait to meet that fire-ball.” as she wrote about my wife. Most people, who accomplish a lot as leaders, can get angry when things don’t go right. Provi was quite mad by evening at her dear cousin who gave a computer to a man before he paid the balance & it took me quite a few 14 cent minutes to successfully insist that she wait till Fri for the money, instead of demanding it be returned to sell to someone else.

But he laughed when I called him, saying he knew her & when they were little she threatened to punch him when she was angry even though he was much stronger. Then a few minutes later she was happy, just like she passionately loves me a couple hours after she decided to move away for good a few times before our 3rd & 4th weddings in May. We’ve had no big differences since the civil wedding (our 3rd). I’m delighted with her & nothing ruffles me much anymore, although I have a bit of a temper too.

House-church Good News!

Provi (my wife) called me when I was exercising while web-streaming this morning while her new house church members were laughing in the back-ground. She was holding their 4 month old baby, but he/she refused to cry, she said. She’s really happy & using our nice new 3 large bedroom house with a small study that Freddy dubbed the prayer room. It’s brand new with working plumbing for just $10/mo more than the $130 we were paying but has much more room for guests & leader meetings and has an honest & supportive land-lord unlike the other.

David Suku, from Tanzania wrote the following house church e-news:

Hi Greg

We had very blessed day in one of our new house churches on Saturday. We had a day of miracles; it is a church which I can say it is what the real church should be. We had wonderful time of testimonies, sharing the word together. Even sharing the needs, prayer requests, and prayed for each other, everybody was free to share the need and prayer requests. Everyone was free to share,

ZAITUNI RECEIVED DOUBLE BLESSINGS

ZAITUNI is the sister who was demon possessed. She was blessed by the lord after we prayed for her. First she received the Lord, and was freed from demons. Now she is free and happy to know the lord. She told me she wants to be baptized. We are making the arrangement for her baptism this week. Also, there is a woman who was in the hospital dying from cancer & blood shortage. DOMINA met her at the hospital when she took her husband for more checkups. Domina is our new wave house leader, she & and her husband gave their house to be used as the church where we meet every Saturday. Her husband was suffering with blood pressure, but after prayers made by the house church he is healed. Hallelujah! He is born again now too. Domina prayed for ZAITUNI in the hospital where she was hospitalized then told her that when she get better she have to call. She gave her telephone number. After 4days this woman was healed and released from the hospital, so she called Domina. Zaituni had no where to go and no one to accommodate, cause she spent all her money for medical bills. Domina & her husband invited her to stay. that is where we do the house church meeting. She attends the meetings. Now she is happy to know the Lord and meet such a good people that she could not expect that just few people in a small group can have a great love like this. She feels loved, hosted, cared for, blessed & now all her ticket, $50, to take her back to her home town is paid by the house church. So many are blessed I cannot even count the blessings. Today AbeI shared the word and we had sharing of prayer requests. It was nice to see such a meeting. Abell has told me he wants to join new wave ministry after I shared our vision, he told me he will join me for the Jesus film evangelism. Which has just begun. Tommorrow my wife travels 3.5 hrs. to Kigali to finally get the last two boxes with lots of Audio bibles & Jesus DVDs in all the local languages for DRCongo & Rwanda. My wife has a working portable DVD player & some people have players in their homes. Sunday we had prayer meeting near my house where they told me every Sunday evening we will be having a house church meeting, so from next week in the evening we will have a new house church meeting,

This happened in Kansas, the heart-land of the USA.  The President Truman who led the USA to be the first nation to recognize Israel was from Kansas City.  Perhaps the heart of our nation is changing

Thought you might enjoy this interesting

prayer given in

Kansas at

the opening session of their Senate. It seems

prayer still upsets some

people.. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open

the new session of the

Kansas
Senate, everyone was expecting the usual

generalities, but this is

what they heard:

‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask

your forgiveness and to seek your direction and

guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those

who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we

have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed

our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it

the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it

welfare

We have killed our unborn and called it

choice..

We have shot abortionists and called it

justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our

children and called it building self esteem.

We have abused power and called it

politics.

We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions

and called it

ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and

pornography and called it freedom of __expression..

We have ridiculed the time-honored values

of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts

today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Amen!’

The response was immediate. A number of

legislators walked out during the prayer in

protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian

Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than

5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls

responding negatively. The church is now receiving

international requests for copies of this prayer

from
India ,Africa and Korea .

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on

his radio program, ‘The Rest of the Story,’and

received a larger response to this program than any

other he has ever aired.

With the Lord’s help, may this prayer sweep

over our nation and wholeheartedly become our

desire so that we again can be called ‘one nation

under God.’

If possible, please pass this prayer on to

your friends. ‘If you don’t stand for something,

you will fall for everything.’

Think about this: If you forward this

prayer to everyone on your

e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be

heard by the world.

How many people in your address book will

not receive this
prayer…..do you have the guts to pass it on?

Love & God Bless

The first picture is our cousin Anifa who is part of the new house church in our new home.  The last two pictures are my deck after my friend Larry pulled the weeds while I replaced a broken board & my parents at the resturant where I ate a 20 oz steak my first day back that they paid for:)

Sat July 5, 2008

My wife & I normally fast & pray 24 hrs. on Saturday until suppertime for the ministry God has given us. Today she was very happy, as God was answering our prayers even before we had prayed today. We both love to teach & people usually are very blessed when either of us teach. We are so blessed with the good relationship that has just begun with Freddy, my same age & diet brother, & his wife. His wife invited her to the church in their house which meets on Saturday to teach. She taught twice today, while Freddy was in Kampala, Uganda (8-10 hrs by bus, I think). Freddy’s wife was stunned at her ability to teach. She said, “I must change today from what I’ve learned!” She said, “Please ask your husband if you can stay with us for a month!” They have set aside a room for us, which we can use when we are in Kigali, since our new home is 2-3 hrs away. That will be handy, since it is walking distance from the international airport.

Freddy is fully committed to supporting our ministry & now I think we have good sister who is mature enough to be Mama to my wife. I look forward to traveling & teaching with them, which won’t be so hard, since Freddy can probably pay ½ of our travel expenses. Perhaps with them, my wife’s dream of standing in Nairobi, Kenya for ministry with me will be fulfilled, since Freddy spent most of his life in Kenya and has many connections there. Halluluja! GOD IS GOOD!

Monday the 7th, David told me on his travel a couple hours away to a place I can’t spell that the he & his host showed the Jesus video in Swahili with the projector your donations paid for along with his travel expenses, to whoever wanted to watch outside. 10 people were converted the first showing, 5 on the 2nd, with his host following up with baptism & a church in his home, although he hasn’t yet got the simple church concept. David was so excited saying, “This is so simple! Why haven’t we been doing this.” I’ve started having guests for dinner every Friday at 6 & just invited the former Mayor of Elkhart, who took charge of sending the Jesus Video to everyone in Elkhart, resulting in the videos we’ve sent to 5 countries, so far. But I only know of them actually having them & using them in two countries at this point.

We returned them to avoid 100% customs in Uganda, & our priority mail which is cheaper took 3-5 weeks in three countries, but soon lives will be touched in 6 countries, I hope. We do need funds for more portable video players (about $70-80 ea.) & another bargain projector like the $250 one we sent to Tanzania.

I’ve earned enough & had enough time to reverse all the borrowing from one account to the other, so my business has paid back the ministry account, which has given me enough money to send $210 total to David to help him apply for his Visa to come at a friend’s expense to join me here & for the trip he just took which resulted in 15 new believers & a working partner in a new area of Tanzania.

I’m saving my own earnings to pay, in August, an overdue phone directory ad that brings me a lot of business & to buy a ticket to return to Africa & my dearly loved wife in September, not to mention the $600 balance on my rebuilt motor-assisted 100 mpg, recumbent tricycle which I want to use this summer for Air-conditioning sales & service & frankly it’s a lot of fun. I’ve managed to repair & improve my house with materials I’ve saved, $8 worth of primer, & some $7/hr labor so far.

I’m holding off on the productive monthly mission/translation budget in Burundi, until we get some communication straightened out & Bienv & I agree on a best big picture plan, plus our monthly donations have dropped from the usual $800 to about $300, because one of our donors lost his usual income in the stock market/mutual funds drop & I suppose the economy has affected others. Things are not yet too busy for my business, but I’ve improved our organization & infrastructure like having a cheap way to take credit card payments, so I’m not doing too bad considering the economy & not hot weather here.

I know it’s kind of skinny for many of you, but I haven’t regretted changing my habits to almost never eat out (I carry peanuts & sandwiches on some days) & to stock up on low-price food when I’m near the right store & to eat low cost, but very healthy food like beans & rice that I buy in bulk from a co-op. I don’t have any medical expenses, because of my good diet & exercise. It takes knowledge & discipline to be healthy & use your income for the kingdom of God.

Of course God is blessing me with an unusually wise for her age wife & a good friend with Freddy to help us avoid trusting the wrong people with business or ministry investments. I have lost some business money, but so far haven’t lost any ministry money on a bad investment & I haven’t used donations to support my wife & I or my international travel expenses, though I hope I can some day.

There are 1,000s or even many more that will be blessed by a $100 donation that buys a portable DVD player to show the Jesus Video & other good videos to hundreds or 1,000s of people.

I know you all can give to many good ministries, but I can’t think of much better than showing Jesus Videos & producing simple-church leader training materials that we can use in many different countries, because of the common languages we are making them.

Thanks so much for all the support you’ve given including prayer & things like building our web-site or sending a wedding dress. I still need a compact car if anyone knows where I can buy a good foreign car at a low price. My trike isn’t up to Indiana winter weather or carrying all my installation tools.
