About me

Currently Master of Arts - Community Development student at Australian College of Ministry.

Former student at Churches of Christ Theological College (1995-1999) where I completed my Bachelor of Theology majoring in pastoral care & counselling, contemporary theology, missiology.  Also at Holmsglen TAFE (2000-2001 Dip Community Services- Welfare), University of Western Sydney (2003) Grad Dip Applied Social Scences - Welfare), Melbourne Bible Institute now Bible College of Victoria (1975-1977, Dip Biblical Studies).

Work in social housing industry for a government department.

Background in urban missions work with homeless people.

Became a Christian in 1971 during the Jesus People Movement era. Lots of experience in mission in counter cultural settings to do with that time period (e.g. Coffee shop outreaches, pub ministry, mission involvement with hippies, outlaw motorcycle gangs, cultural rebels etc.).

While I was a sole parent raising my 2 sons (90's - just lately) I studied theology and social welfare  as well as worked for LINC Church Welfare Services Network and did some pastoral work as part of a church plant team.

In the 1990's I was involved in planning free open crowd community festivals involving 18 different churches cooperating in outreach into a local community in the Upper Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia - Aussie Awakening Easter Festivals sponsored by Fusion.

I am currently the joint coordinator of the ICDF (International Christian Dance Fellowship) Network for The Arts & Social Concern with my wife Lucy Jarasius. Lots of things we do in that missional context - run seminars, promote social justice through use of the arts, run cyberforums, plan & run events, fund raise for various incarnational mission projects, art in the park, partner with indigenous Christians in mission and are other wise engaged in heaps of other types of stuff to do with social activism.
