About me
Dr. Ron Martoia is a transformational architect…What in the world is that you ask? Ron helps people and the organisms they serve, design and then journey through the experience of deep change. Over the last 5 years he has spoken to over 30,000 leaders in conference venues. He consults with executive teams in corporate settings, but specializes in churches. Ron currently serves as a distance staff member for churches in the Atlanta area, Dallas, Toledo and Phoenix. Ron helps churches understand the landscape of ministry and how it is undergoing quantum changes. Many of these changes are theological and cultural shifts that in turn change the way churches see and then intersect their communities.
In addition to his consulting and writing, he has created two learning environments. One is the founding and facilitating of a new experimental learning model called III:TEXT. This is an attempt to broker and facilitate a sort of curator look at the best theological, practical and leadership development tools available. For those unable to explore seminary or looking for a different experience than traditional schooling, this may be the option you have been looking for. So far this experience has been met with eager participation and praise. The second is called Spiritual Explorations Live, a weekly live fully interactive webcast on taking next steps in the journey of human
development.
Ron's first book Morph: The Texture of Leadership For Tomorrow's Church is a handbook for church leaders on everything from assessing and designing church
ethos to creativity, staff development and pesonal self leadership. Ron's second book Static: Tune out the Christian Noise and Experience the Real Message of Jesus, addresses the terms and topics that create deafening static that prevent many people we are trying to engage in the conversation from being able to hear us.
His third book, Transformational Architecture: Reshaping Our Lives as Narrative (Zondervan)
takes seriously the need to understand the full biblical narrative as an alternative to the shaping American Dream story we are offered in our culture. The Bible is primarily a narrative that is to shape our lives and that means starting the story where God starts the story and that in is Genesis 1 with us being made in God's image. Ron's fourth book is at the editor's as this is being typed and is a book on how we misuse the bible as a propositional treasure trove and how we need new metaphors and approaches to see the bible remain a viable narrative for our postmodern world.
