I'm so pleased that I've got a new role with Methodist Church down here in the SW of England as a regional trainer.... (subject to references, CRB, health) It's what i love doing and I'll still be able to develop NIGHTCHURCH and one or two other things ... it feels so perfect. Starts Sept 1st so have a relaxing August before - lots of camping, festivals, beaches, family and wife. The role involves developing 'growing experiences' for leaders in every area of church life ... including discipleship, freshexpressions,youth and children's workers, ordinands - love it!!

We've been camping to sunny cornwall - some great family time on this beach ... but some sad news today - my great uncle died yesterday ... nice, quiet guy, church virger. Rest in Peace Uncle Dave

This week - new Pioneer Leaders Course starts, getting some training in adult training, doing some training for some children's workers in Exmouth, exploring community house possibilities with two folks ... then NIGHTCHURCH on Friday. some exciting stuff!!

Yes - this is really my office - the Old Deanery , Exeter. Sitting outside with wifi-access and God-access too, not bad.

Got some training today and a backlog to deal with ... It's great to have summer with us, I need sunlight, bigtime.

A busy but really exciting week - I'm off to Bristol tomorrow to teach the Mission in POMO Context again - love doing that day conference - I could do it forever. My daughter has her SATS exams and I tell her they don't really matter - oops! Tuesday a big admin and catch up day. Training and speaking later on in week - all good stuff! Rangers in UEFA Cup Final Wednesday, Man UTd for double, Exeter for promotion at Wembley - come on!!

NIGHTCHURCH went GO LARGE last Friday and it was so good - Christian Aid partnered us and did a great job. Christian Aid week this week - give generously.
