At times life can seem very difficult.  People want that to change. During the past few month we have heard much about change.  Change seems to be the buzz word of our day.  Everyone seems to think change is what we need.  But change is not a new idea.  God has been in the business of change forever.  The snow fall this morning and the ensuing shoveling reminds me that God in in control and He bring about the change that is needed.  Change of seasons for a fresh outlook on life.  Change of heart for the hopeless.  May we go out into this darkening world and breath transformation.  May we be change agents for Christ. May change be a way of life.  May we continue to be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ by His power and for His glory.

The photo is another band at this deal.  Right now I'm sitting in the basement of Rocketown here in Nashville.... it was very stressful but I'm trusting that the Lord used our music to bless some folks.  We where the second band to play. The highlight of this trip for me has been the time with my brothers Cory and Kenny.  Our drive down was filled with tons of laughs, deep conversation of living dependent on the Lord and getting lost. It took about 2 hours longer to get here than we thought. But that's not what it's about.  This trip is more about the relationships we can form and the character that is formed in us the humble us and make us so much more like Jesus today than yesterday.  I am so humbled to be playing and enjoying the music of others. There are 21 other folks here. from rap to folk to the screamers and everything else. Music has such emotional power. The Lord desires us to use what He's given for His glory.  It's our prayer that this happened today.

This past week a dear friend of our lost her mother. Over the last few month Helen learned an important lesson.  On a day I was visiting with their family at Hospice Home Helen said, "Why did it take me 88 years to learn that it's all about love." This is a very profound statement.  Sit back and think about it for a while.  Think about the way you treat others.  Is it rooted in love? Think about your attitude, is it based on love?  Think about it.  Than pray that God may continue to work on you. Words of wisdom from Helen Ost.

Right now the Russian government is in flux as many of you know.  I don't know much about how this kind of stuff works, but I am excited to see what is going to happening and maybe already is happening for the sake of Jesus in Russia.  Let me shed some light on what I'm talking about.  Recently a friend of mine was telling me about a Christ following brother in Russia.  This man is a strong leader that desires to start a church of sorts.  So he went to the proper authorities to see if he could assemble with about 100 others to start this deal.  The authorities said that he could not meet in a large group formate. He was crushed. But actually the Russian government is forcing him to act Biblically. Since he can only meet with a very small number of people at a time.  He has to make disciples that can make disciples and so on.  The Russian gov. is actually is doing the Kingdom of Christ a big favor and they don't even know it. Now I'm just waiting to hear what the Lord is going to do through indigenous brothers in Russia. Please keep them in your prayers.  And thank the Lord for the blessings of the Russian government.

Last night a group of us gathered for a time of testimonies, prayer, teaching and worship. It's our desire to see people grow as disciples of Jesus.  We are expecting God to us this time as He has planned.  We want this thing to grow by giving birth to other simple gatherings.  If you have questions or want to start a simple gathering please email me.

The Lord is up to something at Fond du Lac Christian School.  This morning I spoke at chapel for the middle and high school students.  I am waiting with anticipation to see what the Lord will continue to in the lives of students, teacher, the administration, board members and parents.  FCS has really become a home for our family.  People are like  family.  I am so thankful that our kids get to be part of the life of this school.  The reason we have are kids at FCS is two fold.  First, to give them a strong Biblical foundation.  And secondly, their are impacted by the teachers that I like to call SOAP's (significant other adult persons).  Here is a bit of what I shared with them this morning.
