Yesterday I received the following email from Mrs. Hopp from our kids school...
We are urgently asking for prayer for Ray Robinson, our Spanish teacher. He was building a fire in his firepit late this afternoon and something went wrong and he was severely burned. We don't have specific details but apparently he has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his face, chest and arms and was transferred to a Burn Center in either Madison or Milwaukee.
Please lift him and his family up in prayer at this difficult time. Thank you.
Our family went right to praying. Soon after that I felt I needed to find out more and see if I could help in any way. So I made some calls. I was able to call through to Mr. Robinson's room. I was surprised when Ray answered the phone. Ray love Jesus so very much as that's what shined through as I talked with him. He said "the Lord is good, He's with me the whole time. I am so blessed." then he went on to ask me how I was doing. I told him we would be praying for him as he recovers. He kept saying "bless you brother". This remind me of Paul in the Bible who said, "I've learned to sercret of being content in plenty and in want." Our friend Ray has also learned that his contentment does not rely on his circumstances but in Jesus. Only Jesus. In this I see scripture being lived out. God is alive and well and moving in the lives of people of Fond du Lac Christian School. Please keep Ray's recovery in your prayers.
